2014 has been great for The Mini Big Band with lots of amazing swing gigs all over the Country. Our busiest year yet. 2015 is already set to be busier and we can’t wait. We had a great night last night playing for The Queenies Christmas Ball, organised by Herbert from Herbert’s of Liverpool. The
Audience were great and it was great for us to dust of our Christmas numbers too. We also had the pleasure of backing Ray Quinn and Claire Sweeney as well as a special surprise performance by Herbert himself. What a night.
What a fantastic performance! We have never managed to keep so many people in the ballroom for so long in the twenty six years that I have been involved in the event. Everyone was blown away by your professional performance from each and every member of the band. The New York New York finale was a pleasure to behold with just about everyone present somehow linked up in a circle on the dance floor kicking their legs higher than they have been kicked in many years!
We had a great time performing for the South Yorkshire branch of the Electrical Contractors Association this weekend. It’s nearly that time of year again and we’re looking forward to getting our fantastic Christmas charts out for the swinging Christmas version of our show. Nothing sets up a Christmas party better than the sounds of Classic Christmas tunes, stealing in the Vintage big band sound and style that The Mini Big Band specialise reproducing.
